As part of technological cooperation between the companies, Comarch Communications acts as an integrator and supplier of comprehensive BSS/OSS platforms, while jtendo provides specialized Core Network components. The scope includes joint design, implementation, and maintenance of solutions for mobile operators worldwide, particularly in areas where networks interface with billing and traffic control systems to deliver an end-to-end 5G ecosystem.

The collaboration began with Interworking Function projects, combining jtendo’s signaling protocol expertise with Comarch Communications’ extensive IT solutions. Together, the companies address operators’ technical needs using lightweight components that bridge different generations of technology, ensuring smooth network operation and faster deployment of new services.

Complementary technology and innovation

The joint portfolio includes Interworking Functions for real-time billing, Policy and Charging Rules for traffic management, USSD Gateways, voice call systems, and a Hybrid Online Charging System that combines Comarch Communications’ platform with jtendo’s session engines.

The architecture protects against signaling fraud, SS7 and Diameter attacks, and maintains strict data compliance.

Strategically, the partnership expands Comarch Communications’ portfolio from antenna to billing system, while jtendo gains global reach and access to Tier-1 operators. Operators can maintain legacy systems through intelligent overlays, save CAPEX and OPEX, and deploy 5G services while preserving backward compatibility.

Looking ahead, the companies plan to expand to new clients and develop solutions for 5G Standalone networks and Network Slicing, supporting operators through legacy decommissioning and new service monetization.
